THE MUSIC COLLECTIVE (an AECG company)
Studio City, CA, August 23, 2010 – Alec Puro, composer with The Music Collective is scoring the feature film “Joint Body” by director Brian Jun.
Debuting in 2011, “Joint Body” stars Mark Pellegrino (“Lost”, “Supernatural”), Alicia Witt (“Friday Night Lights”) and Jim Parrack (“True Blood”). The film focuses on a parolee who's abandoned by his ex-wife and then barred from seeing his young daughter. He starts a relationship with a lonely stripper, rescues her from an unlikely assailant and is then forced to re-evaluate his freedom as he runs from the law and deals with his past.
Brian Jun wrote, directed and edited the film. Jun won the Sundance Channel Emerging Director Award in 2006 at the St. Louis Film Festival for his first feature film “Steel City” which starred America Ferrera and John Heard. Following the success of “Steel City” Jun was offered more filmmaking work which included his self-penned second feature film “The Coverup”, a drama starring Eliza Dushku.
